The "Configuration Failed" error message appears during the panic button pairing process on Android when the app fails to move past the Configuring step to the Broadcasting step.
This error occurs in two scenarios:
- The device is already configured (not in pairing mode) - This typically happens when you begin pairing your device, quit the app, then return to the app to try again. The app will find the device when you begin the pairing process again but fail to pair your device because you didn't start the process in pairing mode.
- The Broadcasting step fails - The device is in pairing mode but is not communicating properly with the app. You can tell if this is happening if your device continues to blink blue and orange after getting the "Configuration Failed" message in the app.
Here are some troubleshooting steps to resolve this error message:
If the device is already configured:
- Close the SolusGuard mobile application.
- Perform a hard reset on your panic button.
- Once the panic button is back in pairing mode (blinking blue and orange), open the SolusGuard application and begin the pairing process again.
If the Broadcasting step fails:
- Perform a soft reset on your panic button. Once the panic button has stopped flashing green, tap on the retry button in the app. The panic button should begin blinking blue as the app moves past the Configuring and Broadcasting steps.
- If the above doesn't work, close the SolusGuard application, perform a hard reset on the panic button, and restart the pairing process.
If the above steps don't work, please contact us directly so we can help troubleshoot further.
