What is the SolusGuard Wearable Panic Button

Modified on Tue, 29 Nov, 2022 at 10:57 AM

The SolusGuard Wearable Panic Button (WPB) is a discrete Bluetooth device that pairs with the SolusGuard Mobile App to give users the ability to send out instant emergency alerts at the press of a button.

The user can carry the WPB wherever they go, and as long as they have cellular coverage or access to the internet, they can trigger an alert.

The alert process for the WPB has two stages:

1) The instant the alert is triggered, push notifications are sent to the user's pre-set list of emergency contacts. This initial notification is received by the contacts in the SG Mobile App and contains the user's GPS location. This initial notification requires an internet connection (either Data or Wifi) in order to be sent.

2) If the alert is not cancelled, after a pre-set length of time, the user's cellphone will place a backup call to the pre-set backup call number and inform the emergency contacts that this step has been taken. The backup call requires a cellular connection in order to be placed.
