What is a satellite extender?

Modified on Wed, 7 May at 3:02 PM

A SolusGuard satellite extender is a device that allows you to use the SolusGuard mobile app when you don't have cellular coverage or a wifi signal. The satellite extender connects to your cellphone via Bluetooth.

The Satellite extender allows you to:

- Chat with other SolusGuard users within your organization.

- Start and end check-in sessions.

- Send SOS and Panic alerts to your network of contacts.

Some app functions are intentionally blocked over satellite to preserve transmission speed. Things you can;t do over satellite include:

- Adding/removing/updating emergency contacts.

- Updating your profile information.

- Schedule future check-in sessions via the scheduling tool in the My Saved Data area.

- Add/remove saved data from the "My Saved Data" portion of the app.
